Thanks to all who so promptly responded to my Dometic questions. Everyone basically agrees that the thermostat setting the fan on in very warm weather is pretty common, even though the fridge is not on.(What do you think, Texas members?) The cooling problem, I am still not sure. It was suggested to me that there is a limit on what these units can do, and that if it is around 100 F outside you can't expect your Dometic to go under 50 F or so. So far this is the only theory proposed, so I am going to have to believe it. It does make sense, since there was a tiny bit of cooling happening. The good news is that if that is the case, there is nothing to repair! Once again the list comes through. Thanks. Cris. Eugene, OR.
