As we all know, we have a map pocket on the driver's side door and not the passenger's side. My partner is the navigator and she uses the maps, so I wanted to 'rig' up a map pocket for her. I thought of this that and the other, but yesterday I was up getting some parts for a listee and I noticed that the junked van had the driver's side map pocket so I took off the panel and unscrewed the map pocket. When I got home I took off my passenger's side panel and found that there were the same holes in the panel (behind the vinyl) that exist on the dirver's side (I assume the fiber board panels could go on either side) So the instalation took about 15 minutes total and I have a PERFECT matching passenger's side map pocket. So, next time you're at the junk yard - don't overlook the map pocket. Good luck, Malcolm S |
