Hi Volks,

Just when things were back together a going smoothly.....the illustriously reliable wasserboxer auto tranny...blew a leak in the fluid cooler. Dexron is in my antifreeze now, and very little is in the tranny. I have managed to remove the component and examine it. It does appear to have a pinhole leak inside (verified by blowing into the coolant line with the other plugged....small whistling noise). I am currently in Dawson Creek, BC and have located a couple of VW dealers...one in Grande Prarie and two in Edmonton. I will call them in the morning.

Two questions:

Can the cooler be bypassed without loss of performance for a limited time (3000 miles)?

DOES ANYBODY HAVE ONE OF THESE THINGS? ( part #: 087 409 061 C)

Thanks All
