To all concerned:

Just so everyone knows our policy, inappropriate mail messages, especially
NON-VW related CHAIN MAIL (get rich quick, cookie recipes, etc.) will
result in immediate explusion and LOCK-OUT from the list.

We got hit the other day by a message that got propagated on the list. I
caution list members from resending such mail within the list. The list
admins have other ("REAL") jobs so we don't always catch these messages.
In lieu of reposting the message and your displeasure to the list, send
your message to vanagon-request@vanagon.com ... your list admin's address.
A couple of listmembers did the latter, and to them I extend my thanks.

Action has been taken against the perpetrator.
