I have an 86 vanagon which, I am told, has probably gone to see Jesus. I think the engine is blown. I can either take this rig to German Motors (Which has an exellent reputation for bringing dead Vws back to life or should i forget this and buy the '71 bus in the paper which has 8,000 miles on a rebuilt engine and the owner says it is in excellent condition for $1,100. I drove a '71 for 12 years so I think I know something about them. I only paid $1,000 for the vanagon and I think that German Motors will require a good deal more than that.

The use I put these vehicles to is as a utility vehicle to get lumber for my woodworking habbit. Yours and His
