In trying to resuscitate the rear window washer (all pumps working) I disassembled everything easily until I got to the nozzle assembly itself. It has a different looking nut/fastener/clampette on the inside holding the nozzle unit snug to the body. Because the vehicle is in its 14th year there may be a problem of thread freeze but I couldn't see how to remove this last little piece. Is it threaded? Is it a friction fit clamp? Anyone successfully removed this without damage to the assembly?

I have removed that thing on my '81 van with an '86 back door. It was awkward but easy enough. My recollection is that it's a plastic piece with some springy fingers that hold it into the metal; you have to apply pressure from all directions at once while pulling from the outside... well, actually since we only have two arms I found a lot of trial and error and working from one side to the other eventually did the trick ;)

Good luck...
