You can go to the VW dealer and spend C$12 ea for the metal / rubber donuts that go on top of the springs or you can go to Wall Mart and get a nylon cutting board and use this ( Much cheaper ). I would use a thick cutting board . Anyhow, if you lift up the rear end of the van and disconnect the shock, the trailing arm will droop down enough that the spring will fall out with a little help. Remove the factory donut and insert the spacers above this. Reassemble and enjoy!
