Hello everybody, Me and Barbara spent last weekend (our first wedding anniversary) in a Forest Service fire lookout in SE Oregon. Everything went extremely well, Fafner (our '91 Westie) rode flawlessly through steep loose gravel roads, with temperatures in the upper 90's. (I'll post photos in the WetWesties' website when developed.) The big dissapointment was the fridge, though. I noticed it wasn't cooling as much as usual, and blamed it on the warm weather. By Saturday afternoon it was barely cooling, had to rush the salmon to the grill before it went bad! I could hear the propane burning from the outside vent, and the fan was going on every now and then, as usual. But no cooling at all... Now for the strange conclusion, after turning the engine off when arriving home from work today I hear the fridge running. This was quite a surprise, since last night when we got back from the mountains I had turned off the propane valve, and all the fridge's switches...I figured that the only possible source had to be 12 v., even if the switch was off. I took the fuse out of the fuse box behind the driver's seat, and it stopped working. I guess that if I hadn't noticed the fridge running it would have drained the brand new Interstate battery, or burned smething else. What is going on? I'll search the archives, but in the meantime, if anyone has a clue it will be greately appreciated. This is a fridge that last month was working so well that I could actually make ice from those little ice cube makers... Thanks, Cris. Eugene, OR.
