Hi All.... Good ole Faith managed 480 miles for us today and got us to Beaver Creek, Yukon. One more day left and we'll be in our new home town. Met a young couple in Teslin, British Columbia in a nice 87 Burgundy Westie. A quick glance at the tires told me this guy didn't know about the list... single ply sidewall Coopers on alloy rims. I just had to talk to him. I asked him about the van...he replied he had purchased it just two months earlier and was returning south from Denali. I quickly informed him of the door placards requirement for reinforced tires and pointed out the gross weight and his sorely inadequate tires. Much rubbing of brows. He said he and his wife ( and large orange tabby, Marvin) were planning to continue south to Baja California. I warned him to take it easy on corners and be prepared for tire swapping. I finished up with getting him the web addresses for the list and Wetwesties.... hope he shows up on here soon... he needs our help for sure. It was a great looking Westie.... California plates.
