My radiator fan has 3-speed with factory A/C.  Checked wiring diagram for
A/C confirmed my believe.  The highest speed rarely on though.
Syncro has a final drive ratio of 5.43 compare to regular Vanagon of 4.83.
The rmp is going to be higher on Syncro than regular Vanagon at the same
speed.   My tacho reads 4000rpm at 70mph (from speedo) but I knew the real
speed is around 65mph...

Now myquestion to you.At 65mph my tac reads 3900 and 70mph 4050.Is the
synco
trans geared higher than the non synco?I would have expected it to be
the other was around....
