Hi all, Recently I put in an auto tranny in my '86 Westy. While it was out I un-did most of the wiring and intake for the engine to replace things and clean it up. I have put it back together, it starts great and runs (from cold) for about 2 min. just fine at any throttle. THen, apparently after it warms up it starts to cough, spit, run really bad and eventually die, at any speed. As soon as it dies or while it is dying if I turn the key off and re-start it it fires right up and runs (now warm) for about 30 sec. great and then begins the while dying process again. It ran just fine before I undid the thing so I'm thinking something is not hooked up, any suggestions?? I can't find it. I did (accidentally) unhook the air flow sensor and start it that way and it ran actually surprisingly well. I checked the air flow sensor with a meter as per the manual and it seems to be working appropriately. I just don't know what next. Thanks, Eric |
