Just wanted to drop a line to tell you about the crazy prices we have to pay for US minivans here in Norway. The cheapest Chrysler Voyager(thats what its called here) as a 2-seater delivery with a 2,0 4-banger(133 hp) and a 5-speed manual tranny - $ 25500 Order the top of the line, the Grand Voyager 3,8 AWD - still a 2-seater - $47500 Now, the same car as a 7-seater wagon - hold on to the table so you dont fall of your chair!- $95750!!! The cheapest VW Transporter panelvan costs $26000 - the VR6 would be close to $100 G's - they dont sell it as a wagon here only as a kombi (5-seater, half wagon, half van with a dividing wall just behind the rear seat. The kombi-class has much lower tax) for $42500 A Grand Voyager Kombi starts at $32000, to get a V6: $48000 And would you believe a crazy $220000 - yes, twohundredandtwenty big ones - for a Viper? I think I'll stick to my 88 Syncro a little while longer :-( Per Lindgren |
