I belive that the engine will come WITH the correct brackets to
install your unit. It is a bit unclear to me HOW they are going to
accomplish this, but I know that EVERY van has a list of about 10
questions to answer to get the Correct configuration.

Again, I belive the bracketry is the issue here but I've seen the work
done by the Tech and he is very meticulis.

It took MNANY months to get the Carb endorsment. The engines are
Brand New Units, not used so conforming to same year or newer is Not an
issue here.
As far as a CARB # has not been issued but Staus has been issued
(Granted)

$5000.00 is what the kit is offered at from eurospec. Install is
additional. In the euro Car article it's written a bit mis leading in
this area, But the MSRP is $5000.00 Eurospec is NOT installing the
engines. They're training different people that they TRUST to do the
installs for them. Hence a $1000.00-1200.00 price for the install.
Until there are a number of kits on the road, and as the European Car
issue says (have you read it?) All installs will be done by Eurospec
Auth Dealers. In time this kit WILL be offered Uninstalled, I see 9
months to a year at least before this is an option.
History shows that Eurospec warranties parts for 6 months OR 6,000
miles.

They hope to sell as many as possible but time will tell how many are
sold and the

The govenor is changed to allow the trans to shift at a different RPM
as well as there being different hose's. Included in the Auto "KIT".

But I'm pushing for it and once the 2WD engine has all it's bugs
"Purged" I'm sure that will be the next step. We've waited this long
why not a little longer?

My hands are and were tied at that time and you didn't look far enough
back because I posted probably a year and a half ago about driving this
van etc.
In the end of the EC article it talkks about the larger Front Brakes
availible to stop this powerplant....

I didn't imply Eurospecs plate was better, just informing. Isn't that
what you and others are asking for????

I'm NOT keeping anything from the LIST, I have nothing to gain by
doing that. I feel that the above statement is an attack on me and I
really don't like it. I've kept nobody in the Dark about this or other
things I'm working on. I've e-mailed the List and cc'd the people too.
Is there a problem with that?
I'm not hiding anything or behind anything. I feel that I'm one of
the most giving people when it comes to information and sources and I
don't like implications otherwise.
I Also try not to use the List as a Businees Platform. Sure most of
you know who I am and what I can offer you, but I try NOT to post
constantly about things I have for sale. IF there is a topic I may jump
in, BUT I don't or didn't think that the standard was to "Advertise" on
the List?
I hope that the above statements don't offend anybody, some people
spend alot of time trying to get projects,Parts and info so that other
people can benifit from it. I do this, and many listmemebers have
benifitted from me and others doing so. I'm glad to be able to do what I
do, I'm glad to be part of the Vanagon List, most of the time.
