Reasons for swapping my engine:

1 - The wasserboxer will have leaking heads, usually under 200,000 km 2 - $2000 Canadian for a decent rebuild of a wb with leaking heads 3 - 2.0L Audi 80 engine installed is about $1500 Canadian (less than a wb rebuild) 4 - VW / Audi inline four engines are still going strong at 300,000 km and I had a Deisel with 400,000km - they last forever 5 - If you inline four dies... burry it and get another from one of the millions of other VWs in the wrecking yard 6 - My conversion uses all factory parts and any VW mechanic can service it. 7 - Inline fours are less poluting, more efficient and with the 2.0L more power full
