---------------- Hi, I have found that a 5/8 inch heater hose works for one of the oil cooler hoses on my 86 westy 2wd 4 speed manual a/c. You can run the heater hose from oil cooler up and to the left a bit then forward to the front where there is another hose that has 2 different sizes also and this will eliminate it and a short metal pipe also. I have some hose information posted at http://taos.midwest.net/vw This information is for my van and not a 4wd unit. The other oil cooler hose that goes to the coolant pump I could find no substitute.

Darrell
