I have what I presume are these 'nylon slider inserts', matte silver plastic-y things, maybe one and one-half foot long, S-shaped (a mighty square s...), wrapping around the bottom of the sliding window and, towards the outside of the window, over the top of an adjacent window frame extrusion.

I have them on all my sliding windows (both vans), but I have one side window on each van which does not lock. Yesterday I was looking at them thinking that maybe the bottom has almost worn through, lowering the sliding window by a 1/16" or so. Perhaps that's all it takes. How do you get those things off? Mine sure don't want to budge... I would have guessed they were glued on.
