Since we always power a lot of frabbitz on our trips (cell phone, 12V ice chest, inverter for laptop, CB, etc.). I ended up wiring a 3 outlet box on the little plastic cover in front of the gear shift. Someone mentioned that it hides a lot of nothing; seemed that way to me. That cover does not have a lot of structural integrity (i.e. it bends when you push and pull plugs in and out.).

The trickiest part was actually soldering a lead to the real cigarette lighter since I wanted to be on the same fuse.

To make things simpler in terms of shutting stuff off, I wired a switch into the outlet box so I could just flick it off instead of ripping all those plugs out.

Works great so far.
