Subject: Recalls on '90 Vanagon
Comments: To: Vanagon@vanagon.com

Listees,

First, I know this info is in the archives, but browser access is heavily scrutinized here and the archives aren't quick. Is thare a way to mail a search request and get the results later?

I received a recall notice on my '90 vanagon, codes RV, SU. I called the dealer and they said that one involves replacing the fuel injectors and the other was securing the AC ducts.

The mech I talked to was clueless. Has anyone had any problems with these services? Anything I should have done while this is happening.

My AC is in need of a recharge. Since I don't know where the leak is should I try to have that fixed while they "Secure" the ducts, or will they be opening the pillar?

I remember several posts about black debris from deteriorating seals. Will these be replaced, or should I specifically request that?

What is the problem with my fuel injectors?

Thanks, any input is appreciated. Vernon
