Marcus, It did rain yesterday. That's a bigger news than the stock market drops!! Is there any article in the archive talking about the R134 conversion? I remember somebody said it cost him only $70 to do it. Is there a VW factory conversion kids available? Do you know which parts the conversion is going to replace? I heard before that due to the less efficient R134, you need bigger condenser and evaporator. Or is it just put the adapters on charging valves? Any corrosion problem on R134? Any info will be greatly appreciated. BTW, 3 years ago while my A/C was out, I took the compressor out, dumped the refrigerate oil and put amount of new oil specified by Bentley book, put new o-rings on high/low pressure inlets on compressor and new drier with new o-rings. It makes the compressor quieter and survived this summer so far.... Knock on wood...
