I replaced coolant temp sensor with new one from vw dealer (i even checked the continuity of the old and new sensors: the new one is tiny 100ohms higher than the old one) I also sprayed the idle stabilizer valve with carb cleaner. RESULT: 2000rpm cold/1200-950rpm hot and still hesitate during HOT AND COLD acceleration. (with old sensor: 1200rpm cold/900-950rpm hot and still hesitate during COLD acceleration) Should I return the old sensor back in? I will look into ignition timing tomorrow... Any suggestion and input? James 88weekender anaheim, ca |
