If so, what should I use to replace it? yeah, it's a pretty standard auto manufacturing technique ... it's a modern replacement for the old lead filler (which turned out to have toxic fumes). one after-market replacement is 3M Body Seam Sealer, part no. 08405. sold in a caulking gun tube, at most body-shop supply stores (the people who sell bondo, paint, sandpaper,and the other supplies needed by the body repair people). look in the yellow pages under Auto Repair. hope it helps. joel |
