As I was checking out Chris Turner's pics from Germany (and enjoying them very much) I saw a few things that I wanted to ask about. 1. One of the Vanagons rear air intakes were sealed up. Does this decrease drag enough to be worth doing and where do you get your fresh air from for the intake? 2. Black VW badged pickup in one picture is a VW Taro right? (You say you've never heard of a Taro? And you thought you knew about VWs. :) 3. Nice swing out spare tire holder and gas can holder but why do you need to put the tire on the back? What is taking up the spare tire space underneath? 4. What is that photo underneath of a older bus supposed to be showing? (extra clean or some special drive train?) 5. Liked the LTs. Did they make any of these into campers in Germany or are they strictly grunt vehicles? (There is one here in South Jersey that I have seen pictures of that was brought over and camperized in the US by a VW dealer.) Thats all for now. Hope I get to go to the Fatherland one of these days. Ken Wilford John 3:16
