I failed to provide enough information about my system which resulted in
getting conflicting advice regarding which direction to turn the screw to lean
the mixture.
I have an '86 Vanagon manufactured in November 1985 with Digifant injection.
Thanks for the rapid responses to my earlier post.  I hope to hear from you
volks again soon.  I am out under the pine tree tonight with the flood light
on tinkering and swatting mosquitos.
