Tim, As a recent new owner of a 87 syncro I was working on the a/c the other day. Anyway, the evaporator housing (3) plastic bolt brackets on both sides were cracked. Some (25%) of the rear plastic screws are broken too. I've checked w/VWOA w/ my VIN # and the recall has been done with center duct pieces. If the dealer did repair the Evap housing how did you get him to do it? Right now my evap is sitting on my kids plastic picnic table. I'm going to try fiberglass repair if the dealers don't do anything about it. Kurt Thomas 87 syncro gl |
