John: Contact Larry Reynolds at Car Care Specialties (carcaresp@aol.com or 201-796-8300). He has a great literature pack (free) that really explains a lot about restoring your Vanagon's finish. Parts of it are posted on the web too, but I can't find the URL right now. So, e-mail him or call him. He's been a great help in sorting out all the hype related automotive cleaning supplies... I used a product by 3M (Imperial Hand Glaze - I think) and Blitz Wax. The finish on my Syncro sure turns heads now! I'm not connected with him or his business in any way (He's in NJ, and I'm in AK), other than being a satisfied mailorder customer. He offers many items I can't get up here in Alaska.
