In several tire/speedo posts recently I have seen references to something called LTD or loaded tire diameter. It seems to me that while the radius may appear to change with load and pressure, the circumference stays constant. Therefore the number of wheel revolutions for a given distance travelled is not dependent on LTD except perhaps in extreme cases. Am I overlooking something here? Mark Drillock |
