I'd have to back up what Rick says; throughout my 20's (I'm a late 'boomer) ALL my cars were significantly less value than my bikes, and the sum total of all my bikes now probably still exceeds the current value of the VW I drive now. It's all in one's priorities. I'm encouraged by folks whose bikes cost more than their cars.
