With a heavy heart, I am putting my 91 Camper up for sale (sniff, sniff...)

1991 Vanagon Westfalia Camper GL, 4 spd, just shy of 98,000 miles, metallic blue, factory AM/FM/cassette. Has been very well maintained, mostly by a dealer with a mechanic that really seems to know Vanagons. I have stayed ahead of things, have done oil changes every 3000 miles, haven't been afraid to spend money on maintenance, and have all my records. New heads at 67k. Complete new exhaust system about six months ago. New Michelin MXT tires about two years ago with only 15k miles on wear on them. Lots of mecha- nical parts replaced over the last three or four years. The interior and camper stuff (stove, sink, fridge, canvas top, etc.) are in excellent condition. Exterior has a couple of small dents and a cracked bumper on the right rear. (I bumped a tree while camping in Maine in the rain last fall.) There is no rust on the body because I've sanded and painted any spots I've found. I have four extra steel wheels with Nokia snow tires on them that might be good for one more winter. Since I'm a ham radio operator, there are two antenna mounts which were installed neatly and properly so as to have no rust. Ham or CB antennas could go on either, or a cell phone antenna could go on the roof one. The A/C struggles on very hot days and I just noticed that the heater fan isn't working, but those are the only things wrong with the whole car. The car can be seen in Chelmsford or Littleton, Mass. (25 miles NW of Boston) $11,500. Best to call me at work at 978 952-4792 if you want to talk, or send me an email.

- Scott Sminkey ssminkey@xyplex.com '91 camper - at least for a little while longer :-(
