On my '82 there are three different types of vent hoses. Four small ones go to the vent canisters above (2 on each side). One slightly larger connects the two top sides of the tank, and one large and braided one vents the filler neck. A total of a few feet of each should do it.

To drop the tank these have to be pulled first anyway, so reach in over the front tire to unscrew and pull them. Then bring them to the parts store to get the right kind. Be sure to tell them whether it's for diesel or gas, as not all hoses are rated for both.
