carl,

i took mine to local mech. 12.00 to hook up the gauges found a little pressure
put 1 can of r-12 in($21.00) filled system.  used detector to find any leaks.
the mech. said to look for any oily stuff on the lines paying attention to the
fittings if oil is there than you have a 75% chance for a freon leak.
