Dear Vanagon Friends-

You have queried for help on your VW vans, and hopefully from time to time, my wee lil' brain has burped-up the factoid you needed about spark plug gap, tire pressure, or fuel line. Now, I need your help.

If you know how to set up MS Outlook to be my gateway to the internet/e-mail, I would be forever indebted for your help. I love being on the Vanagon list, but like most folks, I am overwhelmed by the volume of e-mail. I need to do something. Something to do with Microsoft.

I use Outlook for Scheduling and Task stuff, and I want to set it up to dial in to my AOL accounts, screen, collect, and deliver my mail. I have futzed with it for many expensive hours, even going so far as to use the Help Menu, which Microsoft anthropomorphized into a scary paper-clip with HUGE eyes. I successfully changed the Help Assistant to a small dog, who resembles Underdog enough that I am surprised there wasn't a law suit. Nonetheless, the dog couldn't help me.

HELP PLEASE. It's a toll-free call, and I am going to be in my office today and tomorrow. Spend 15 minutes and be a hero. If others are interested, I will capture the instructions and post them on my site or to the list, if bunches of you are interested.

Thanks for all, and happy motoring,

G. Matthew Bulley Principal, Bulley-Hewlett & Associates P.O. Box 5153 Cary, NC 22152-5153 USA (888) 468-4880 toll-free
