Larry C., Our '86 Syncro Westfalia is also a Canadian model but out speedometer has "1000" printed just below the "km/h". The speedometer cable runs directly from the front differential to the speedometer. There is no reduction gearing. We have LT 195/75/R14 Yokohama Y370 tires and the speedometer reads about 5% too high. In Canada, the is no oxygen sensor warning light. Larry J.
