Eric,

I can rebuild the front diffs but choose to purchase the VC's as it is cheaper. I have heard of rebuilt ones but have not personally seen one.

A lot of my work is with the older aircooled VWs at this time. When I do get a request for a Wasserboxer its usually only for the gearbox. I'd like to do more later VW stuff but right now am very busy converting the older Type2 reduction gear box transaxles to the later 3.875 ring and pinion. I service several 'vintage' shops in the area and stay pretty busy for a one man operation. I have 3 of those Type2 conversions for this/next week and other various aircooled transaxles as well.

Now, if I could convince more of you Vanagon owners to send your business my way.....;)
