My km/h speedometer has "1000" on the bottom.

I find that with the slightly larger tires the speedometer reads correctly, but the odometer is out by about 5%!

On Rabbits and Golfs there are three or four different coloured plastic parts that go on the end of the speedometer cable. One colour is for 3.67 final drive, one is for 3.94 final drive etc etc...
