Hmm. Dunno. Depends if you're one of them prudish Christian types ;-).

Burning Man 98 is a temporary art community, created in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada. An experiment in radical self-expression, now in it's 14th year, it will be held Monday, August 31st - Mon., September 7th. Participants must bring all necessities for survival - including water, food & shelter. There is no commercial vending at this event. We ask that you tread lightly on the desert and Leave No Trace when you depart.

Burning Man often involves nudity, sculpture, art cars, opera, dance, etc, etc, etc. Drugs are discouraged... Burning Man *is* a drug. No spectators are allowed... everyone is a participant in the performance. It goes on for a week, and it's one of those things that everyone should see. At the end of the week, the Man (a 30' tall wooden sculpture) is Burned.

Tickets are $80 per person until the end of day, Saturday August 15th. After all tickets will be $100 each, will-call only!

Send check or money order to Box 420572, San Francisco, CA 94142-0572. Use your credit card to order at TicketWeb or call 415-TO-FLAME to speak to a Burning Man volunteer.
