The plot thickens......... I have or had one of those Dometic fridges in my '87 Westy that quit working on the propane but worked fine on 12 vdc and 120 vac. Well I decided to give it one more try on propane before ripping it out AND it worked just fine for 24 hours after which I turned it off. Well, I don't understand at all. What is happening here ? Was my van out of level while camping when it quit working ? Could have been a few degrees out of level but I don't believe this was the first time I've camped out of level. What an experience that is ! That's a whole 'nother story. Anywhos, back to The Fridge From Hell. I did blow out the exhaust pipe with compressed air before lighing it for this recent test. But I had just done this prior to my camping trip and the fridge was working just fine for four days before it quit and would not cool off in the propane mode. Remember that the flame is still lit as the exhaust pipe is still hot but no cold in the frige. Ug ! What a story. I think I'll go and try it again today and see what happens. Maybe the thing will blow up and I can collect the insurance and buy one of those fancy Chrysler minivans :-) BTW. Stebro Stainless Steel muffler is working just fine ! Cheers Frank
