just installed Kyles SA Quad grille - and wanted to make a few recommendations - use your driving light brackets themselves for a final template, as the "+" kyle drew on his templates are slightly off. But use Kyles templates to give you a general idea, and then tape the driving lights in place, and loosly install grille (dont snap it in at the top, yet) to make sure lights are lined up in the sockets of the grille BEFORE YOU DRILL ANY HOLES. use a centerpunch/hammer to make a divot for drill to start in. also, i swapped a chrome \X/ emblem from a '88-'91 Van, in place of the black one. its the same thing. i went solely by Kyles templates, and had to re-drill more holes because template was off. other than that, the installation went pretty good. looks nice, tho i wish the driving lights were real VW or German, not Taiwanese... but it looks ok, anyway... will have pics of finished installation soon. thanks again to kyle and others who had this brought over from SA. chris |
