I installed my speaker in and on the door: the base speaker goes into the
lower front corner of the door panel (this is the only spot where it does
not interfere with anything) and a little tweeter is mounted on the surface
at an angle at top front corner on the panel (so that it does not interfere
with the window crank). Works great, forget the factory speakers.
