Subject: FS: 1.9 engine from an '85

I recently completed putting the parts from two vans together to make one good one. The lucky winner was the '85 Westy. She will live while the '87 GL must die. I plan to get rid of the excess pieces.

Part of the swap consisted of removing the 1.9 engine from the '85 and replacing it with a 2.1 from the '87. The 1.9 was a good runner. It needed exhaust work and leaked coolant around one of the heads in cold weather. No internal leaking that I was aware of. I bought the van 2K miles ago, so don't know the history of the engine. The van had 117K total miles on it. Will sell the engine mostly complete with alternator, water pump, flywheel (no clutch or disk), injectors, etc. Have removed a few small FI related pieces to make the swap work. Think its worth $550. If interested, p-mail me.

Tom Bloomington, IL '85 Westy
