I have a recently (4-5K miles) rebuilt 2.1 engine that suffered a catastrophic failure on a recent family vacation. The engine ran great with excellent oil pressure, power, etc. before dying of a broken crank. It was still running when I had it towed to a shop and it was started several times during the problem diagnosis process, so I don't think it has other significant internal damage. I can either trade it for a new one from AVP or sell it outright. AVP says it is worth $450 sight unseen, maybe more once they get a look inside. I'd let it go for $450 and save myself the shipping costs for the core. Since I will be replacing it with a rebuilt engine, I will remove everything needed for the swap, so what is for sale is the bare long block. If interested, please p-mail me.
