maybeyour starter isnt't disengaging properly when you start the van up.
maybe you need to put shims under your starter?
thesame thing happened to one of my friends, on his 68 chevypicup. all he
did to fix the problem was put shims under the mount on hos starter so
that it would disengage properly.
