Subject: 1989 Westie Syncro (What is it worth?)

Hello fellow listees,

I have been lurking and shopping for a while and I have found a 1989 Westie Syncro that I would like some input on.

It has 140,000 miles, front and rear ac, cruise control, 4 speed, and power everything. A local VW shop has purchased it and is replacing the heads, cv joints etc.. everything that they feel needs to be done to it. They will put a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty on everthing but the tranny. I just looked at it and it seems to be in good shape, some surface rust on the bottom. The car was purchased in Colorado. The asking price is $18,000 but negotiable depending on what work they do to it.

Please let me know what you think.

Thanks,

Kirk Stock
