Thanks to all who put suggestions on line over the past months, our Westie is fixed. Thought we would share the success story. Did the following (as recommended by multiple list members) 1. Cleaned intake air flow (top is glued on and must be pried off carefully. Use clear silicone adhesive sealant to reglue. 2. Added 025 906 302A harness upgrade ($125.00 at Bus Depot) 3. Replaced 0 280 130 026 Head Temp Sensor (Coolant Temp Sensor II) and washer ($24.95 at BD) 4. Purchased rpm guage and set idling. Results: Just drove 400 miles through east coast mountains, with a/c on....No stumbling, no stalling, no failure to restart when hot! It's a miracle. Thanks, thanks, thanks.
