Hehe..now the alignment ideal was good.. but propane? But on the other hand.. if I remember the 2nd law of thermodynamics class in physic, propane would work but if the hoze blows again with propane it will escalate "VW van fires" to a new high!

I think I will stay with R134a. Now if I can get a powerful enough compress. liquid Nitrogen will really be cool..

Having given you the solution for your clutch problem, here's what to do for your AC. First, splice hoze. Then get a tank of propane and charge it up. That way you won't feel guilty if the hoze blows again, and you won't use up valuable resources (and $$$) converting.
