Agreed.  Never had one for my VeeDub, but way back in 1985 I bought a
F*rd.  Got the x-wnty.  Big error.  Had a major timing belt snap.. well
not a VW, but you get the Idea.  Major damage but because. it was a
"belt"  the damage was not covered.. Thank God for the Ohio Lemon Law.
