Vernon.

I have been there - done that. I obtained a late 85 cluster from a auto wrecker in Canada with the help of David Marshall. In it I got the Tacho and Speedo. The wrecker has an email address if you want.

First remove the instrument cluster by removing the four screws and disconnect the speedo cable. The circuits are real easy to disconnect. . The printed circuit are exactly the same. I looked at the set up and rather that swap the tacho from the cluster I swapped my speedo into the Canadian cluster. Seemed less of a hassle at the time and I have my original kilometers still on the speedo. The only point to watch is removing the printed circuit from the speedo. It is held on with little arrow shaped studs. Just be careful prising the circuit off these studs . Take your time and be very careful its not that hard.

If you want any further advice email me direct.

Ray.
