Got in on the last of this message so I don't know who sent it.

I have the wiring diagram for your 84 AC. I'll send you a copy if you need it.

The circuit is designed to cut the low speed on whenever the AC is turned on (I don't like this since the fan isn't needed at highway speed, and this wears out the fan.). When the thermostat on the radiator trips into the high speed mode, because of overheating, it powers a relay which drops out the compressor clutch to further reduce the overheating.
