Didnt get to the tune up, but Ed was PERFECT in 100+ desert weather. The temp needle usually covered the top half on the idiot light but never way over it. Couldn't run the A/C but that was OK. The ac sucks in hot weather anyways. I'll get that tune up though. memorable VW's spotted while on the 40 or 15...one red NB, and passed by a cool black new Passat...from a local dealer too... one burned up old 70s bug. *NO* other vanagons! that was odd. didnt even see any at Laughlin...am i the only crazy vanagon owner to drive it in hot temps? one NB spotted in the parking garage at Flamingo and INSIDE Flamingo..yeah they had one up to give away at the slots. white one. While in Laughlin,NV: Done some cat watching, lots of feral cats there. Saw a skunk and a beaver last night that was cool. Skunk almost sprayed a cat hehehe Bat watched ...ohh theyre all over the place it 's sooooo cooooolll...(err hot) hehe

the most gambling I did was $10 for the NB 25c slots....they're tight! won NOTHING at all.

anyways....

about a 600 miles rountrip, flawless transportation, Ave. speed 65-75 and OPEN ROADS....that was great.
