I want to thank everyone for their comments about my diesel vanagon find. My mind was truely telling me to bolt, yet my heart longs to be behind the wheel of one of these bad boys.

An interesting point has come up though. A couple of folks indicated that the last model year for the diesel vanagon in the US was 82 and possibly 83. The Bentley repair manual indicates that it is 84.

What is the answer?

By the way, the VIN of this particular vehicle is VW2YG0255CH010991.

If anyone wants to go look at it, drop me a note. It is in Needham, MA. The owner's phone number is 781-444-5876.
