Has any one on this list adjusted the steering box on power steering models?
RicK Is there any play in the steering? If so, I have been told that you can adjust this (only power steering) by add shims in the steering housing,My Bentley 1980-1989 page 48.11. Look here and see the shim.Bad shocks can cause this.Bounce the front end real fast and hard.Let go at the down position. It should bounce 1 to 1 1/2 x's if any more your shocks are bad or going bad.See if there are any leaks on shocks.Out of round tires could be a problem.Jack ea front tire off the ground, one at a time.Place tin can on ground, center of tire.Spin tire and watch the action. You will know the answer, believe me.Run these and Dennis's ideals by your mechanics and see.Bent rim and a tire that's hit a curb real hard also.Keep us informed.
